What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Handwork Karigar website and mobile app. We provide B2B blouse-handwork services to boutique owners. We do not sell products through the app.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to run your account and fulfil your work orders: your name, boutique or business name, phone number, email address, business address, optional GST number, password in protected hashed form, order quantity, design notes, requested dates, logistics details, messages, status history, and photos you choose to upload.

Camera and photo access

The app asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to attach a design, progress, completion, or change-request photo. We do not access your photo library in the background.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate users, review and complete orders, assign workshop staff and karigars, share work updates, coordinate collection or delivery, answer support requests, protect the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Sharing

Order information is available only to the boutique connected to that order and the authorised Handwork Karigar admin, staff, and assigned karigar. We may share only the delivery details needed with a courier or Porter service when you select that method. We do not sell personal data and the app contains no advertising SDK.

Storage and security

Production data and uploaded files are stored on our secured server in India. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access is role-based. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we continuously limit access to what each role needs.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Privacy & account → Delete account in the mobile app, or use our web deletion page. Active work must first be completed or resolved so an in-progress blouse piece is not orphaned. On deletion, we disable sign-in, remove uploaded files and personal account details, and anonymise completed order records that must remain as minimal business records.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct your account information, stop optional photo access in device settings, or delete your account. Contact Handwork Karigar on 97318 00800 or WhatsApp at the same number.

Children

This is a business operations service for boutique owners and workshop teams. It is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The date above shows the current version.
